keystone is here!
the colouring journal I created for mind-body reconnection
Hey friends,
It’s finally here!
Keystone: An embodiment colouring journal, has been self-published on Amazon and is also accepted on other platforms for wider distribution.
I’m incredibly proud of this work and believe in its ability to help others in building a stronger relationship between their mind and body. Keystone is part free writing journal, part colouring book, part narrative therapy practice (due to its writing prompts and reflection questions), part decolonising your thinking and part embodiment practice to help you in reconnecting your mind and body. There’s so much goodness inside it.
Over the next few weeks, you can come along with me as I use the journal myself. From engaging with its entries (which I wrote AND audio recorded), mindfully doing the artwork (done by the very talented Oishika Ray) and gently tracking my body’s sensations with prompts completed on body outline, you’ll see how Keystone can be such an asset to your inner work and daily practices.
I can’t wait for y’all to support me and yourselves through this work, at the same time. I know it’ll make a different to your life. It’s already made such an huge impact on mine. I’m so excited to hear what you think of it!
As always, thank you for being here.
With love and gratitude,
SC xo
PS. Below is a quick introduction to my journal, explaining why Keystone. I hope you it allows you to consider how you’re becoming the keystone to support yourself too.
keystone: /kē-stōn/ or /ˈkiː.stəʊn/
In architecture, the keystone is the wedge-shaped piece located at the top centre of an arch. It locks the other arch pieces in place. Its unique shape provides crucial structural integrity; without it, the entire structure would collapse.
Embodiment functions in much the same way.
Without the vital integration of mind and body, the process of transformation often collapses - much like an arch without its keystone. An embodiment practice builds the sturdy, unified structure necessary to support the life we wish to create, ultimately making profound change possible.
Embodiment is our keystone.
By reconnecting the mind and body, we access our internal wisdom that the dominant culture suppresses. Through its conditioning, shame, and fear, society encourages us to remain small and fractured; however, when we embody our inner knowing, we push back against that pressure. We choose to put the pieces of ourselves together again, rebuilt on a foundation of trusting the truth of who we are, rather than who we were told we should be.
Let this journal serve as the blueprint for that new foundation. welcome to the world, Keystone. I’m so glad you’re here!
How has journalling helped you rebuild or strengthen the vital relationship between mind and body?
You can purchase your journal here and when you do, please leave a 5 star review so more people can experience Keystone too!
