I was talking to a person I worked with who recently received copies of my book, “It’s Never Just ADHD”. Depending on the person, I’ll share different recommendations on what chapters to read, but I always suggest reading the introduction first. It’s where you learn the basics of ADHD, the nervous system, and the dominant culture within a learning environment. Otherwise, feel free to dive in where the table of contents calls you.

While chatting with this person, I began thinking about which chapters had significant meaning for me and why. I’d never thought of that before. Each chapter is significant to me for many different reasons. But just for today, here are a few favourites that come to mind:

  1. My favourite chapter to write because (at the time) it was a special interest:

    “He never does anything you tell him to!” or Dhruv’s story
